Oooooh! Remember how yesterday I was complaining about a lack of fashion news? Well, this morning I heard an interesting rumor, which of course I will now share with you!!!
Rumor has it that Dior are set to replace Galliano as head designer with....drum roll please - Sarah Burton from McQueen!!!!!! GASP! How amazing would that be?
Apparently the appointment might have something to do with the royal wedding.....how you ask? Well, the CEO of Dior is obsessed with the royals and the hot rumor circulating about two months ago was that Burton had been asked to design the royal wedding dress. Now the McQueen camp has denied the rumors - but they would, wouldn't they?
More on this as we get it, but surely it wont mean that Burton will leave McQueen, hardly right? She might do both? Like when McQueen designed for Givenchy and his own label at the same time. Designers are well capable of it. Even if it does put a huge amount of pressure on them. Even Galliano had his own label and the Dior gig.
